A,B,C players???

Lol, I know Beau plays well! :p I saw him at DCC a couple years ago and he impressed me with his play.

I had a similar A, B, C, etc. discussion with a Taiwanese friend and although I'm a C player here, he said I wouldn't even rank a D player in Taiwan! :p

A, B, C ratings vary based on what part of the country you're in. In my area an A player would maybe win 2 games against the ghost on 9 foot that doesn't have buckets.

Then they aren't an A player. I consider an A player someone who can play at or near a pro level. I understand that there is some difference based on area, but there are also some basic guidelines. All A players should be able to beat the ghost.

Thanks for the link JohnyT, I scored at 35, granted I was on my 7 footer. What killed me was my last score was a 4! I would have guessed I was a high C low B.

Hi all,

consistancy and stamina makin the big points- when i started to play tournaments in the 80 s like crazy i drove crazy about it- about for one year i was beaten in each tournament just 1 game before reaching the final rounds....- then i spent even more time on training, also time on mental part of the game and made even more sport (running, squash etc.)- Suddenly my game turned- in the following 3 years i played almost every weekend league and tournaments and almost reached every the final rounds.
Stamina is one of the most underrated reasons next to consistancy. If you re in bad condition you could never play good pool!

I agree 100% stamina is one of the biggest differences in tournaments cuz if your constantly playing and dont get worn out and the other players do you have a mental and physical advantage over them!!!
