Just my opinion of doing protective business when uncomfortable feelings occur.
An option for players who enter large tournaments should be asking for a bank guarantee.
If I was going to promote a large tournament, I would think publishing a bank guarantee would
easily attract a great amount of players if they knew this was in place.
------------------
A bank guarantee might be used when a buyer (the players) obtains goods from a
seller (tournament) then runs into cash flow difficulties and can't pay the seller.
The bank guarantee would pay an agreed-upon sum to the seller. Similarly, if the supplier was unable
to provide the goods, the bank would then pay the purchaser the agreed-upon sum.
Essentially, the bank guarantee acts as a safety measure for the opposing party in the transaction.
-----------------
This might also lend a nice bit of advertising to the bank that's involved.
