A call to arms!

I couldn't think of a better tag line, BUT....our pool rooms need help! I went out this morning to hit a tourney at a GREAT room where I worked, cut my teeth, and learned the game over the years. We didn't even get the minimum 8 needed to get it going!

The wife and I hung out for the day playing some 14.1......watching the Flyers play......and catching up with our old buds!

I know times are tough, BUT.....we can talk to old friends.....get new friends interested in the game.....stop in for a chat at an old pool room haunt.....or just donate an hour to where ever we happen to be at the moment!

MAN!....all we want is times to be a little like they were when we were coming up.....

If only the current generation could know what it was like to walk into the pool room.....get a few offers to play by your new nickname....play a little Knock Gin.....and go home with a smile on your face!

G....hopeful!

Totally, 100% agreed Gerry. I've only been playing the game and been around the Pool Halls for about 13 years, but there's something uniquely cool about walking into a PH, getting the usual barbs thrown your way about playing some...and hearing the stories. More than anything else, hearing the stories that are tossed around the Pool Rooms are what make it such a rewarding experience. Pool players are the best storytellers by the way...

For me? Not good at all! Humiliating, in fact! But I did help one of your PA fellows advance, a neighborly thing to do, after all!
