Joss Shafts

I'm not very familiar with Joss in the sense that I've never owned one. So, I was wondering what the significance of the numbers 1201 under the Joss logo on the shafts was? I have seen another Joss that had the number 1202, but they all seem to be solid maple rather than low deflection shafts. Any information you could give me about this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Chris.

Hey Chris,
I'm not positive but I'm guessing they are codes for the different sizes I know the 11’s are 13mm shafts and the 12's are 13.25mm shafts as advertised

Jos Shaft Numbers

I sent an E-mail to Joss, and Dan Janes told me in reply that the first two number are the year and the second two the quarter of the year. It helps them keep track of what wood is what, and what not to buy again. Your 1201's were made in the 1st quarter of this year.

Chris.
