I figured I'd show some of my humble wood collection with a couple of cues in progress...

The last board on the right is walnut. I'm not sure how it will work out, but I'm going to give it a try.

Looks great I have seen a walnut cue once and it looked very nice and played good also. Maybe it will work out for you also.
