A different way to aim.

The other day I was checking my aim when the cue tip was in the rear position and found that my consistency seemed to improve. Apparently checking the aim of the cue stick and the cue tip through the cue ball to the contact point on the object ball from the rear position of the pendulum swing is one way to insure your stroke is straight throughout the full length of the stroke.

Of course you have to pause on the back stroke to use this type of aim. Whether you pause on the final back stroke is another matter.

I was surprised to learn how much this shift in aiming improved my confidence that the OB was going in the pocket.

I wonder if others have used this technique and found it to be useful.

I think it is a useful technique to at least try and see if it improves your aiming accuracy and reliability.
