A good summer for pool :)

I'm not a great player by any means, but pool has made me feel really darn good lately, and I thought I'd share.

I've played pretty consistently for the past couple of months, which is a rareity for me. In that time, I've won a league MVP, took a team to APA citywides, qualified for the APA spring regional tournament, and nearly won a repeat trip to Vegas in our local MVP tournament.

Addmittedly, I've "helped" the good feeling along a little bit by spending some money too. Other than table time, league dues and tournament entry fees, I hadn't really spent any money on pool for about 5 years until this summer. I went on a little bit of a spending spree and decided to update my equipment, and try out a few new things. At various points throughout the summer, I've bought 2 new playing cues, a jump/break, an OB-1 shaft and my first Instroke case.

I got the jump/break cue and the first playing cue a few weeks ago, but hadn't really brought either out to play a lot until last week. So that was fun.

On Monday, I sold a case that I had been trying to sell for almost a month, and I also played a little bit that night with my new OB-1 shaft. I ran the first rack of 9 ball that I played with it, and I set a new personal high run in straight pool with it later that evening.

And finally, I just found out that my second new cue and my Instroke case will be arriving tomorrow! AHHHHH I can't wait. :)

Sorry...didn't know who else to gush that all out to, so if you're reading this, then you're the lucky winner :)
