This Gus was delivered by Barry Szamboti on 3/13/08 at the Hopkins Show in VF. The leather was wrapped the day it was delivered and is seamless. Barry spent approximately 25-30 hours restoring this Gus and making two new shafts for it. Needless to say, he did a great job. The cue looks brand new. Barry dates the cue to the mid to late 1970's. The original Gus shaft rolls almost perfectly straight on and off the butt. The other original shaft was so bad that Barry cut the ring work off of it and made a joint protector for the butt. As one would expect, the cue hits great with both the Barry and Gus shafts. Thanks Barry for restoring another Gus treasure.
