I didn't post this in the review section because I wanted to mention my experience with the room and the coach.
Over the holidays I was fortunate enough to spend some time with Lee Brett at Best Billiards in Las Vegas. I'd like to say how impressed I was with the room. First class accomodations and atmosphere. We even had a private room with a perfectly set up Diamond 9 footer and a restroom! Top notch, for sure.
Lee is easy to be around. He doesn't have any attitude and you feel like you've known him for a while even though you just met him. He's not like some instructors I've had that try too hard to earn their money by changing something about your game. :grin-square: I have no doubt he could absolutely help a beginning or intermediate player with his knowledge. But I went there as an advanced player looking for some coaching and advice.
His mental approach is extremely solid. After reading his book, I figured he would be a good choice for a fresh perspective on an old game. We worked on my rhythm and talked a lot about approaching different shots. He never tried to push any ideas on me. He mentioned stuff and I took what I liked. After it was over I realized how important the mental game and rhythm is to every single shot. The shot is made or missed before you even bend over.
Now I know why he has helped guys like Darren, Shane, and Mike Deschaine. I learned I was always on the right track. I overlooked a few things and lost my way. His intuitive observations were spot on and will help me get off this plateau.
When I get back to Vegas, I'll make sure and visit with him, again.
Best,
Mike
