Are you on the way or close to the way?
NC is south of VA. About 3.5 - 4 hours from Chesapeake, I'd guess.

It's the shaved head. I'm actually in great shape to be 41, gymming it four days a week. "Uncle Fester" is funny. We'll see. Eric has now reached new heights in his comedianism (new word for Websters). I have been out of work for a couple of days sick. My asthma has really picked up this year. Had to get an adrenaline shot. I have called him twice. We actually talked last night. He has that big tourney at his place this weekend, so maybe we can all get a good chuckle next week.JoeyA said:First it was Uncle Festez, now it's cronies.
Keith, WTF, do you have that worn out look or something or is Drater just tying to open your nose a little?![]()

Entertainment value of this one will shoot through the roof. The guy is a likeable and funny dude. I'll keep you updated.Thunderball said:I am very much looking foward to reading the results of this one.
Good game?Bad game?Getting robbed hunting up action?Out running the nuts hill hill?
No matter the result its gonna be good reading lol.
Drater said:I don't like my side of this to tell the truth. I still can't run 4 balls in a row. Just gotta hope Keith dogs the 6 a lot.
That said, when I lose I'll just do what every other AZBer who loses an Internet grunge match does... slink into oblivion, never to be heard from again.
Besides, how is one supposed to beat a guy that literally looks like a cue ball?
eric
I decided long ago, in a galaxy far away (the eighties) that if my hair left me I would never "combover." Therefore and hence, the cueball look. You know, some women prefer it. I sure hope so, I have no choice.JoeyA said:OH! So that's what they mean when they talk about "become one with the cue ball". :duck:

You're not starting up on me again, are you? Damn, I get sick, stay out of work, finally start feeling better, turn on my computer at work, and have to deal with this? Man, you're one tough nut. Good luck with the tourney turnout. I'll call you this week and see what we can get going.Drater said:I don't like my side of this to tell the truth. I still can't run 4 balls in a row. Drater said:So this went down last night. It was short notice and we ended up playing two 8-ahead races for $500.
Crawfish talked me into driving to some little dive bar in Raleigh. I packed up my cue, some cash, a pack of smokes, the chick I'm seeing, called a few friends for backup, and hit the highway. 1.5 hours and 1 U-turn later we arrived.
This "little dive bar" is actually a pretty nice place. If I were to hang out in a bar other than my own, it would be this kind of place. Lots of people, loud music, beer, and poorly maintained pool tables. My only complaint is that this place DOES NOT SERVE LIQUOR. I can't believe Keith would talk me into going to a place w/o Crown Royal. Didn't I even say above that my only real stipulation was that the place serve Crown?
As an aside, I'm down on a shot in the second set and I poke some kid in the ass on an adjacent table. We go through the requisite apologizes and he's like "go ahead and shoot". To which I respond, "dude, we're playing for $1000 here, you go ahead. I don't need to be rushed." I literally had to step away from the table before this kid would take his shot. What's up with that? Do people not understand what "playing for $1000" means?
Anyways, the first set started with me getting the called 7. Keith broke the first game, and along the way I dogged the six. He gets out and break-n-runs the next game. He's up two. I win the next 8 games in a row to put me up six, he wins a game, and I win the last 3 in a row. Set over.
Rather than taking my money and running (hell, I didn't even finish my first beer yet) I agree to roll another one, this time even. I must be the best action around b/c I don't know anyone else that will agree to go from getting the called 7 to playing even. Anyways, we had some back-n-forth in this set and Keith finished it off.
The end. I spent 30 bucks in gas, 20 in beers, drove 1.5 hours to break even. It was a lotta fun, however!
Oh, and the table wasn't nearly as jacked up as I thought it would be. Gigantic pockets, but otherwise it played pretty good.
PS: I suppose I need to add that while Keith talks a lot of smack, he's a good guy and behaved himself all night. He had my friends and I in stitches all night. I did have to avoid looking directly at him due to the glare from his head. He really should wear a hat.

Drater, you are SO EASY.
You were VERY SPORTY to have adjusted all the way to even-up instead of the eight ball, IMO.
