Ted, I am Don Purdy. If you don't like what I have to say, don't read it. Put me on your ignore list. Please don't be sarcastic with me. I here and now apologize for what I have said about you. If you would like, I will start a new thread and do it. I was wrong to post that on here and I admit it. I won't say anything negative about you and your cues again. I know you make some very nice cues and I appriciate it. A lot of my friends play with them. Sorry I was such an AH. Won't happen again, thats a promise.
God Bless, Don P.

Don,
What would the world be without a little sense of humor occassionally? I enjoy reading your posts. I wasn't aware of you saying anything about me, good or bad. Now that you have my curiosity level raised, I sure would like to know. Would you please point me in the direction of those posts, so that I may read them?
I would however like to ask you a question. Why do you preach to people about things you are guilty of yourself? IMHO, we are all people, and we have the right to our opinions, right or wrong. That is one of the most important things that makes America great. I learned a long time ago not to hold grudges against others for their opinion. Sometimes it was true, sometimes it was a misunderstanding, and sometimes it was blatantly untrue. I have found that being in a service oriented business, and being in the public spotlight, that there is always going to be talk, true or false, and everywhere in between. All you can do is to keep plugging away trying to be the best you can be, and hope that the good outweighs the bad by a large margin. I feel that I have touched many thousands (too many to even guess) of peoples lives in a positive fashion, and very few in a negative manner.
I personally, have been guilty of throwing stones at different times in my life, but for a long time have chosen not to. It is simply a choice to throw stones or not. It is not a disease. It is a choice. To me there is a big difference in telling the truth, and throwing stones. Let's just don't forget that there are two sides to every story, and throwing stones does not even deserve a response, if you are living life to it's fullest.
You can usually tell a lot about a person by the way they conduct themselves around other people, especially in a public forum.
I remember the first time I met you at The Shark Club in Centerville at the TAP league championships. Boy was I ever an opinionated stone thrower then! I think I can even remember our conversation! We talked about a lot of things.
Well, I hope that everything works out for you in your endeavors, and I look forward to reading the good and bad.

Hi Ted,

I have heard only great things about your cues. I have some friends who would not play with any other cue.

BTW I know that Blud knows who makes the best cues and if he says you make a great cue, that is enough for me.

I have also heard good commentaries about Ted Harris cues, as well as, of course, The Blud Man. I am looking forward to hearing more about the $25,000 cue especially designed for Grady Mathews by Blud. It really sounds extraordinarily beautiful, and I'm sure it will hit good with Grady in mind for its design.

The shaft for me is probably the most important feature of the stick. Many players have a butt from one cuemaker and a shaft from another, and this combo works for them. Some claim that the older cue sticks hit better because of the seasoned wood.

I have never had the pleasure of meeting Blud, but I have met Ted Harris, and he is not only a nice guy, but when I have watched him work at tournament venues, he actually LISTENS to each player's request very carefully and provides personalized attention to detail, not charging an arm and a leg.

ManlyShot,
i had a real nice visit weith Ted this past week in Chicago. He's a good guy, and does pretty good work. I sold ted his first machine about 15 years or so ago. He's done well in a short time.

About Grady's cue, it will be closer to $30K plus when it's completed. Were trying to have it finished by April for the un-vailing at ther BCA Expo.
