Ok so I play with a "ronej" cue built by jenor urate from the phillipines. I've owned alpt of cues, from players to a southwest. As odd as it may be I bought this cue to help a guy who was tight on money about 5 yrs ago. Best cue I have ever owned. Hands down. The two original shafts that came with it are perfectly straight and the cue hits a ton. I wanted to dabble with a new LD shaft recently and a friend told me he cld get a Katana shaft for a 100 bucks so I said why not. I have used predator 314 precats up to the the 314-2 and Z-2 shafts, ob 1 &2 and a few others along the way with other cues. This Katana shaft is in my opinion the best I've ever played with. The long taper combined with the 12.5mm shaft is perfect. I have a black kamui soft tip on it. It isn't hollow feeling like the predaators and u can feel the contact which I cldnt with the ob's. So I guess I can say I'm lucky bc my dream playing cue is about 500 bucks total compared to the rediculous ammounts I've paid for other cues that I end up hating. Now I am a sucker for the predator break cues and dumped 450 on the bk3 the day it came out but I love that thing for some reason. Anyome else have a combonation of cue and shaft that was relatively cheap that they feel is better than any other high end cue they owmed?

I've returned to playing with a Mezz WD 700 shaft on a 31" butt that I bought from someone off AZ for $125.

I've owned a bunch of cues, including my last purchase, a SW. I love the hit of that cue to pieces, but after 4 months I just couldn't play well with it. I came up with LD shafts and accept that they are my lot in life when it comes to pool.

My old cue is just so much more suited to me, so a $375 special it is lol.
