I just got a pic of a cue that is in the works for me currently and thought I'd post a teaser pic. This picture is incredible but I'm only going to show you one piece of the wood that's going into the cue! :D :P Here you go:

This is such an exciting process.

Yes, Mr. Madden is correct, it is a beautiful piece of snake wood! This block, I believe, will be used for points, among other things. This wouldn't be a very good teaser if I told you right away who the maker is, now would it...lol.

Thanks.. this Fanelli sold one day after it was on the site. All the white was ivory and the cue retailed in the neighborhood of 3200.00

It played great.. or should I say I played great when I tested it.. :)

Unfortunately, my snakewood cue won't have as much work as that one and will have no ivory in it. That being said, I am sure I will be ecstatically happy with it!

If you are getting a snakewood Fanelli, you'll be happy.

It is going to be a snakewood Fanelli! I'll post some pictures of it once it gets to the stage about where ironchef's was at when he posted pics.

Mottey? Skip? Come on Jack, tell us. The suspense is killing me! ;) Seriously though, Post pics when it is done, I know it will be awesome. I know a cuemaker, that did a maple with snakewood points. It almost killed him, he had an allergic reaction to the dust. I think I will track it down and buy it, as it will definitely be a one of one. ;)

Hey Zack, you're a real cue junkie.. lol

Here is a Snakewood Skip that I bought, it was on the high end side, I liked the oval elliptical eclipses, but I wasn't fond of the big cnc diamonds inside. But I believe its a window Skip should use more of, and it should eventually become a "signature" inlay. The hardwoods were snakewood, maple and ebony.

I really like that Skip! I, like you, am not a big fan of the rounded inlays, but the cue is still a looker and those elipses are pretty sweet. My cue on the way will have regular old rectangular windows. The new Skip will have the same rings as that cue though. It'll have a bit of snakewood in it as well. I am a cue junkie; it's a sicknes it really is! I always tell my friends I have OCBD (Obsesive Cue Buying Disorder).
