I remember meeting and playing a gentleman everyone referred to as "Mr. Henry" at the Virginia Tech campus pool room some time in the early 90's, perhaps around 1994. I did not catch his full name. He was a bit up in age, a good shooter, and was apparently a good straight pool player earlier in his life as he claimed to have played Mosconi and actually beat him 2 out of 3 (though he admitted Mosconi was passed his prime and was not bragging). He seemed to be well respected at that pool room, and was very friendly and quite likeable.

I was wondering if anyone out there knows him or his story. I never forgot him or our conversations and always wondered about him.

I was visting there on business for 3 days attending a forestry conference, I didn't attend the school. I thought that game room was a pretty nice place to play when I was there. I am positive it was after 91, but now that I think about it, it was either November of 92 or November of 93, not as late as 1994.

Well, an answer for 1991 and before, and 1999 to present, anyone in between? :D

He might not have stuck around and may have just been telling stories?
