A mystery cue, or a cue mystery

I recently bought a cue in Hawai'i and am trying to get information about maker, owner, etc.

Clues: The person who sold it to me said that she bought it on eBay. There is a sales tag from Texas on one of the accessories in the case. And the initials L. A. B. are inscribed on the cue (although the B seems to have been altered.)

Any ideas from all you cue experts? Photos follow

IT LOOKS TO ME, TO BE AN OLD BRUNSWICK CONVERSION, WITH A NAME PLATE.

Many thanks -- Katz maybe?

Another pool person thinks it's a 1920s Katz cue...

Any thoughts on that?

Thanks for your input - it sure looks like a Brunswick, but the other person says Katz...
