Sometimes when I get tired of shooting straight-in shots all day I play 15-ball rotation, 9-ball, or 6-ball. I was playing 6-ball earlier tonight and I made up a new rule for me to practice. It's called 2-rail+ 6-ball. You run the balls out in order just as you would, but every shot you make, the cueball must travel at least 2 rails for position. I asked my friend if he wanted to play, and it was alot of fun. I even enjoyed it practicing by myself. If the cueball does not travel at least 2 rails for position, it's a foul. I also made up another game but haven't tried it yet. It's called 6-ball-6-pocket. You number the pockets 1-6 in any order, and you shoot the balls in order, but each numbered ball has a designated pocket, i.e. the 3 ball goes in pocket 3, the 6 ball in pocket 6. For me boredom is the mother of invention
