P.S. Hint, it is somewhat of a balkline shot!

Bill your diagram is a little off. Look at the outside grids. The table is more than twice Long than wide.

Anyway maybe not the proper shots but this can be made full ball follow to the yellow with just a touch of right or follow the red with a touch of right.

3Cush; Maybe the table aspect of the diagram did get askew while saving it, SOOOOOORRY!

Your choice is incorrect!

fun shot

Bill, I shoot this shot with slightly low center ball medium stroke, strike long rail first in front of yellow cueball then across backwards to long then reverses short, then back to long then to point ball red for four rails if you misjudge sometimes the cue ball goes past the red and picks two rails in the bottom right corner for a six- railier.

No choice is incorrect. Some choices are higher percentage than others.
I'd try on the right side of the ball aiming for the middle point on the short rail with maximum left ( short, long, short 3 or 4 rails)

WOW Got One Right (wrong!!) but what's the Balkline solution? I know speed has a lot to do with it but which way??

(EDIT) Excuse me. It's late by my standards. Miss read your response. The obvious is in this game is many times not correct.

Can't wait for the answer.

Balkline Professionals are incredible. I'd like to back one against a bank pool player.

baulkline shot

Bill, How about this! Thin of right side of red with high center medium to hard stroke, long into opposite corner tight, short, long, long, short long. All three should end up in clustered near yellow.

I can't pay on that one Dan.

Here's the diagram to the solution to the shot.

Shot #1003 Solution.jpg

The key to executing this shot is, EXTREME 6 O'clock English, NO side spin!

A "rapid-short" stroke works perfect here.

Nice dessin! :-)
And still my first thought would have been a rail first shot (but haven t played 3c for 15 years or so ^^) (long rail, red ball, long rail, short rail)

but of course i see of course how strong this dessin is, which was also the winner :-)
