A Quick Question

Where'd my stroke go?

I was watching a pro match the other day and I noticed something interesting.

Whenever it was Toru Kuribayashi's turn to rack, he would reach into the ball return and fiddle around for a couple seconds. Then he would pick up all the balls up in one go and put them on the table.

I thought it was pretty cool. This was with 9 balls, but I'm told he does this in 10-ball, too.

He doesn't seem to have particulary large hands and his back was facing the gallery so I couldn't see how he was holding the balls. Anyone seen this before or know how to arrange the balls so that they can be picked up in one go?

A guy I play with can do this in 9 ball. He has freakishly large hands though. He just kind of has a few between fingers and the rest in his palms on each hand, its quite the talent. I can't do it :(

Not that difficult

I have medium(at most) sized hands and have no problem picking up 5 balls with one hand. Each finger holds one with the index finger gripping a ball in the middle of my palm. 10 ball is a bit trickier because my left hand is not quite as strong and coordinated as my right.
