A real Earl headscratcher

the whole idea is to use a lot of spin and the deflection comes along with it. you really dont use the defection you adjust to it.

spin, deflection, speed, table roll and other things are all you contend with and use to your advantage when playing.
you cant use them if you dont know how to or practice them.
 
I watched the explanation and the shot. The CB is pointing between the rail contact point and OB contact point--the freeze frame shows this markedly.

But no, I have not had a problem with those kinds of shots in 30 years.
