A Review of the Double Refund Cue...

I recently received and played with Chuck Starkey's Double Refund Cue for about a week, and while I am not a great player by any means, I have hit with a fair number of cues. I also let a number of more experienced players hit with it as well. Everyone had nothing but good things to say about the cue, although some were weary of the wood pin. The first thing that struck me about the feel of the cue was the balance, in my opinion it is near perfect. I'm normally one who likes a forward balanced cue, although I wouldn't consider the Double Refund cue forward balanced (I didn't actually check the balance point of the cue) I guess I would just describe the cue as "balanced". The other thing that stood out was how the crisp the hit was, this was also the comment that most people made, the cue got a lot of "Wow, that hits nice!" compliments. With this cue I found I got a ton of feedback on my hit, the taper on the shaft felt very comfortable, and deflection was nice and low. I had no problem going from my Predator to this cue and the added feel and feedback was a nice bonus. I feel that the wood pin is extremely durable, the joint felt nice and solid, and provide a nice clean hitting cue. My only wish was that the cue had had a sniper tip on it. ;) All in all I must say that Mr. Starkey builds a great hitting cue, I see a large possibility of one making its way into my possession in the future. Thank you very much Chuck for allowing me the chance to try one of your cues. I am curious to hear what other people who have had the cue think, so feel free to disagree with me, and or add any other comments in this thread...

What is a ton of feedback?

Could never understand what is meant by this. Hopefully you can expalin this to me so I know what to look for when I am shoping for a cue.

Thanks

By "A ton of feedback" I basically mean that I can "feel" how I hit the cue ball. It's like hitting a baseball and being able to tell that you hit the sweet spot on the bat. I hope that helps.
