Hello my fellow Billiard lovers.....:D. I'm taking a simple poll on a subject that has been discussed numerous times (actually beat to death). I would like to know that if you were going to re-felt your home table with a different cloth other than what we know as the indisputable king of the billiard cloth SIMONIS, what would you use? Keep in mind, its your home table that is played on maybe 7 hours a week tops. Table is located in the Southeast. No kids to worry about spilling, pulling on the rails, etc. My game is around the "B" level (depending on who you ask) so the playability of the cloth is important. The tourneys I play in are mostly Simonis felted, so I want to keep it somewhere around that speed (I know there all a little different depending on the stretch, etc.,etc., blah, blah, blah). Just somewhere slightly comparable. So, would a good bit if you, without going into details of why, or advise me to put a few more dollar$ together and get the King of billiard cloths, etc., etc. List the cloth by name that you would use other than Simonis. Maybe 2 or 3 in order. Thanks in Advance...:ok:
Ready, Set, Go......

I like Simonis. I find Andy Cloth a little slower than Simonis. Chamionship Cloth is faster if that's your thing. I am pretty sure they are both cheaper than Simonis. Stick with Simonis if you are re covering your home table. You won't save that much money. If you are re doing a poolroom and have 20 tables then that is a different story.

Granito Basalt....tighter weave, therefore wears better.

...and it's CLOTH, not felt

Simple poll - simple and easy answer: Best answer for me without a doubt is stick with the Simonis.
