A Strange Thing Happened After My Friend Published a Book

Hi everyone,

Something interesting happened recently and I wanted to hear what people here think about it.

A friend of mine spent almost a year writing a book. At first, none of us thought much about it because writing a book sounded like something only famous authors usually do. But after he finally published it, a few unexpected things started happening. People in his professional circle suddenly began taking him more seriously, he started getting invitations to speak about his ideas, and some clients even mentioned they found him because of the book.

It made me wonder if publishing a book is less about selling thousands of copies and more about building credibility or personal branding.

So now I’m curious about other people’s experiences.
Has publishing a book ever opened unexpected opportunities for you, even if it didn’t become a bestseller?
