I just posted a reply to VAPOOLPLAYER's thread about a game situation he got into. Just an idea - It would be nice to have a section in this forum to address situations on the pool table. It would be mind opening even for the top players and very educational for all. Possibly fun.

I think this is a very good idea. I'd learn and participate. What does elude me is how you folks remember all this. I guess I'm getting really old. If you ask me about a rack I played two games ago, unless something dramatically different happened, I couldn't tell you what I did. This has been an issue in my lessons. If Fred was watching me play somewhere over the weekend, that Wednesday even on my lesson he will say something like, 'Do you remember the situation.......". I won't remember, even most of the time after he sets it up I can't remember.

Sometimes I wonder how I remember how to make a ball at all.

That's good. Actually there are times I do not remember a thing, but I think it's because I zoned into the game which is good. On the otherhand if I am perplexed about a shot - I do tend to remember, at least some of the time.
