I watched some 1 pocket matches yesterday from the DCC. I've only palyed one game of 1P in my life and have never seen anyone in my area play it. I have watched Cliff Joyner and others gamble in Nashville a few times, but that's about it.

To see someone break and run 8balls is insane. It's unbelievable how good Efren plays. I just might become a 1P DVD junkie. I love to watch it.

Great players playing one pocket is fascinating to watch, IMO. When I was 18 I went to The Ledgends of One Pocket tourney that Grady was promoting in Columbia, SC. The players in my area told me I was going to be bored, blah, blah, blah.....

Cornbread Red, Steve Mizerak, Cliff Joyner, and a slew of others whose names escape me at the moment were at this event.

I enjoyed every minute of it! The best was the finals... 18 yr old Shannon Daulton & Steve Mizerak...came down to hill hill and the last ball. That was Shannon's 1st Legends of One Pocket win and it was also a record breaker... he was the youngest to ever win a Legends of One pocket tourney.

I've only played the game a few times myself... I don't have the patience, safety play, soft touch... anything needed to play the game well but I sure do enjoy watching great players play the game. Welcome to my world my friend... it's a pretty cool place to be. :p
