That is a fun post. Winning ACU-I's at Straight Pool, Eight Ball or Nine Ball is an awesome accomplishment and I wish our sport was doing more overall to enhance and support these tournaments.

NV won his second ACUI in Gainesville, Florida where I live now--and had named one of the cues in his line the Gainesville after the victory.
 
I so liked Bob Jewett's instruction until I read he went to Berkeley! lol
I first attended classes there (not counting summer programs) in 1964 and last in 1984. I'm a slow learner. I once had my own personal cue ball stolen off the table at the student union by rioters who needed something to throw at the pigs. And then there was the tear gas.
