Has anybody here dealt with this eBay user known as mistymermaid69?

I tried to purchase instructional DVDs from her (Academy of Cueing Arts). I paid for it. She contacted me, stating that she requires an additional $40 from me, as advised by her local post office, as shipping to Singapore costs more. I paid the extra money, and now this user cannot be contacted.

It is only a few days since I purchased, but just can't help but be worried about this. I just hate it when money is transacted, and the other party cannot be contacted.

I'm not even rushing for the shipping, I just want a status update.

ahhhhhh. the oyster rears his ugly head yet again. there have been plenty of mentions of "the australian oyster" here on az. he is the "gentleman" who runs the "academy". you can do a search for him.
from what i gather he is somewhere between an instructor, con man, liar and guy who has footage of himself nude out there somewhere.
my 2 cents, try as hard as you can to get a refund and buy instructional videos from someone more reputable.

I'll 2nd, 3rd and 4th the post above... run far far away.

seriously though just tell them you're not paying an extra 40$ and end the deal. Way too many better options to even bother...

Sounds like the money is already gone, so that doesn't seem to be an option. I would however try and get your money back through ebay if you could.

There is also a Youtube video of an AZer torching The Oyster's entire set of video's.
That was one of the greater events in AZ history

Informative buyer beware post, thanks! I'd naturally tend to stay away from an instructor or professional anything who appends 69 to their username, especially mistymermaid69. I hope you get your money back soon!

So are you guys implying that this is a scam?

Anyway, I just sent this message to the user:

Hi there,

I need to make it clear that I do not appreciate being left hanging. Please update on when you are shipping. Look, I am not even rushing you for the shipping (though I will appreciate that you do it asap), I just want to know what is happening.

Here's the catch. If you do not respond to me within 48 hours, I will be seeking for dispute resolution under eBay/PayPal.

My apologies for sounding harsh if you have shipped the items. But you need to understand how a buyer will feel insecure if he has transacted the money, and not hear anything further from the seller.

I am giving him the benefit of doubt and wait for another 2 days, in which I'm gonna seek for a refund via PayPal if he decides to ignore me.

LOL!

Guess what?

Within MINUTES after sending my "last straw" message as indicated in my previous post, that user miraculously replied, saying he actually just shipped the DVDs, and will update me of shipping details soon.

We shall see if this deal is really good.

But many thanks guys for your insights. I do know about the antics of the Oyster, but still decided to get his videos, because I heard good reviews of it, despite him being an idiot.

Let's hope I'm right about this.

I ordered a dvd from this ebayer earlier this month and got fast shipment. I have to give them positive feedback. What you think about his DVDs is just a matter of opinion but I don't think that is is a scam.
