How well do you guys know alex pagulyon? Did i spell it right? Because O heard from my friend that he sells women in Canada just to have money. I guess its because of his gambling hobby. I also heard that he has been taking drugs lately and that could be the reason why he's been active in pool right now. I can remember his confession after he placed 2nd in the worl pool.
 
OMG thats amazing news. Did you hear the one where a woman gave birth to a bat baby? Or the one where a mime miraculously screamed for help to keep a robber from snatching an old ladies purse? I'm just funnin'...could be true as far as I know. I don't really care..he is still a damn fine player.
 
VERY WRONG!!!

alex makes money as a candy vendor at the blue jay games, and works at night, moonlighting as security for dunkin donuts in old chinatown.
 
I would assume that Alex makes 90% of his money gambling. He's one of the toughest money players around.

About the rest, it sounds like BS to me.

Alex makes PLENTY of money gambling. He's got more heart than any young player I've ever seen in all my life.

I don't know if you realize it but you just slandered this guy on a website that has people viewing it from all over the world. Don't you think this is a bad thing to do especially if it's just a rumor? Even if you absolutely knew this to be true, why would you want to put it all out in public like this? Did Alex do something to you that made you want hurt him or something? Maybe I shouldn't ask.

I completely agree with Rickw. This particular post, whether it be true or not, certainly does not reflect the kind of person and player Alex is and should definitely not be circulated on this forum, if any... I thought it was very disrespectful.
 
Try checking on Rodney Morris since you're in Hawaii, Poolactic. I'm sure the husbands of your sources would have better and more believable stories.

He had a Hawaiian connection with him when I saw him at Cardiff. Is that in any way related to your fantabulous story?

I've know Alex since he was here in Manila. Alex is good enough to be a role model for millions of pool fans out there whom he can lure into the game and out of drugs.

Even if "Mao", as we call him here, is not tall, I do not think, Poolactic, that you can measure up to what he is. It's obvious just by what you wrote.
 
Since I know Alex very, very well I'll give an answer.

NO--he does not sell women...jeez why even answer that?

NO--he does not do dope!

After placing 2nd in Cardiff he was talking about being more serious playing pool.

He never practices-----again----He never practices, thats what he meant, he needed to get serious about playing if he was going to win the major tournaments. His ability is so far beyond anyone out there now its a joke (with all games). Thats why he can be at the top of any tournament he gets in----his ability.

He starts to play pool when him and Ronnie go to whatever tournament....and even then if you ask around, he's playing chess, backgammon, cards, casino (craps), goofing around and everything, except being as serious as he should for the TOURNAMENT. He needs to focus more on why he's there, its finally starting to sink in. When it really, really does..................
WATCH OUT!!!

Trust me, he is the baddest little pool player on the PLANET, and thats with no practicing, just running around to tournaments and then loafing around at home.

I thought for just a second about deleting this post, but I think it is a joke.

As for needing more practice, I can't completely believe that. I can remember a conversation I had with a major WPBA player when she basically said she practiced for about an hour before going to WPBA events and that was all she had to do. She wasn't bragging, just stating a fact.

Alex may be able to play against most of the players in local events with very little practice, but he can't play in major events without the mental strength needed.

I am beginning to wonder if Alex should talk to Mika about his current situation. Mika went through a phase a couple years ago where he was the best player in the world until the finals of the events. Mika looks to be working his way out of that, and Alex needs to do it now.

You really aren't serious about comparing the women are you?

I'll explain that one like this......If they had calcuttas at WPBA Events, who would you buy? there's only 2 people, Karen and Allison. All the rest are a crap shoot.

Now who would you buy at a men's event???

As for practicing...to each his own I guess. Although I wonder why in every sport in the world the individual or team practices? Picture-- Sampras/Tennis, Woods/Golf, Jordan/Basketball, etc. etc. not practicing. They would still be very, very good just on ability, but ability only goes so far. You still need the repititions for hand eye coordination, muscle memory and confidence just to name some. Does mental strength have any relation to confidence?

Alex has been at the top of every tournament for quite awhile now and he has won his share but he's still not been giving 100%
He's a kid still having a lot of fun goofing around at tournaments. You need the hunger to dominate and he's finally starting to get an appetite.

Hey, wait a minute. Sputnik, EdG, Ramil Gallego and I were sitting across Alex during that post-WPC finals party at the Ibis Hotel Lounge. Were you the one sitting next to him or the one next to Jason Kane? I was the one singing with Brenda Smith (Kevin Smith's mom) who is one of the qualifiers director.

You have just slandered one of the greatest young pool players in the world and anyone who knows Alex will realize just how ignorant you are. Alex certainly isn't going to walk away from a gambling situation because that's what he does...and he's great at matching up..which is an art unto itself. But to suggest he is a PIMP and a Drug User without anything to back it up....well you owe Alex and this FORUM an apology.

a really close friend of mine who happens to be really close to alex, family friends etc....told me a few interesting things about, which a rather not say. He's a good player and a very funny and entertaining one too, let's leave it as that.

Can't you just give this young man the credit he is due for achieving what he has in his life?

Maybe you should take the "y" out of your handle and call yourself: "Cardinal Sin." Reading your post about Alex the Lion is a cardinal sin of intolerance, and maybe we should just leave it as THAT.
