Hello

Does anyone knows are know where i can find some resources about the weight of different wood and different materials?

I would like to know if 2 pieces of metal brass and SS of the same size what would be the difference in weight.

Weight of ebony, rosewood ( i think there are different family in this one, i suppose they do not weight the same. Tulip wood. Purpleheart. Maple. The more popular cue making woods.

I was reading an article that i googled about certain wood being used to make musical instruments as it resonates better.

SS and brass are close.Ebony is heavier than most woods, some Rosewoods are actually heavier or as heavy as Ebony,African Blackwood.some Rosewoods are light.Purpleheart is a little heavier than maple and stronger.Tulipwood is also a Rosewood and heavier than Maple.another problem you will have is finding variation of weights in the same exact species of wood.

Ditto above. Even within species, you will likely see some variability in density and moisture, so it will be difficult to predict with certainty before you buy it what a piece of wood will weigh after it is turned. With that said, www.woodworkerssource.net has some data about relative weights of each species. (E.g., compares ebony to red oak in weight, hardness, texture, etc., with red oak being a 4 in weight, 6 for ebony).
