And speaking of Europe vs USA, Mr. Bond talks with Sam Diep of the Billiard Education Foundation about the process of selecting 6 qualified juniors to represent the U.S. in the new Atlantic Challenge Cup.

Where's a good healthy debate when you need one?;)
Listen to this week's show to hear about the team USA selection process.

First, thanks to Samm ( is that better Mike?lol ) and the BEF for making the push for more junior state championships. Now there are 40! And of course thanks to all those who have stepped up to host these championships.

However, the new Atlantic Challenge Cup ( mosconi cup for juniors) is scheduled for July, which is prior to the junior nationals and some of these other junior state events, which makes it impossible to select a team for the ACC according to actual playing stats for the entire year.

Do we think that the event should be scheduled later in the year ( in the future) to accommodate the consideration of playing stats for a (whole) given year, or, do we keep the event in the summer so that academic performance can (also) be considered from the previous school year?
