accu-fast cushions slow rebound?

I have a new olhausen champion pro table with accu-fast cushions and 860 simonis. I have noticed the cushions seem to play alot slower than other tables I play on including a valley table, and much much slower than a diamond table and GC. I have checked the rails bolts and they are tight, however the bolts are beggining to sink into the wood. Is this normal?, and it is not in a very humid area. I cant think of anything else that may be causing it to play so slow, do valley cushions play faster than accu-fast cushions? Any help would be much appreciated.

this is unusual comment about the accufast cushions. Usually its the other way around people say that there too fast. Here's a test: put the cue ball on the head spot or foot spot, hit the ball hard with center ball into the opposite rail, the ball should travel 4 to 5 rails, less than 4= too slow, 5 or more = too fast

I would suggest checking the cushion height, just to make sure it is at 1 13/32". Are the balls jumping when they come off the cushion?

Regarding the bolts sinking into the wood, you might want to try the crown washers that are available from many billiard supply stores.

Could be to much cloth under the rail so it would raise the cusion hieght some and play slow from traping the ball. Make sure your balls are clean and good quality this will make a big difference in play.
