My wife's sister lives in Germantown and I just found out we may be going down there for a week or so. He is a pilot w/ NW.
As I am truly an "OldHasBeen", this would have to be taken into consideration. I love 9-Ball but can't play it for more than a couple of hours. Just started playing One Pocket a couple of years ago and find it much more enjoyable and relaxed. I haven't been to Memphis for over 20 years so I guess there is all new places & players.
I don't play long & I don't play cheap!
I only play by the game & anyone can quit anytime a game is over!
All $ is posted & paid after every game!
Where would this game take place?

Hey, it looks like we almost have a contrct going! 2 competent parties, an offer, a counter offer, now all we need is consideration ( $ ) acceptance, meetign of the minds, and we got action!

If you believe vagabond or oldhasbeen then you should believe me too. Whatever weight they convince you they need I will take. If I happen to be fully recovered when I show up don't be any too suprised.

I don't play on any table with shims.
I never understood this - There are engineers that design these tables and when you add shims, the points on the pockets are false. There is always an indentation where some standard One Pocket shots can't be made & some balls (that shouldn't be able to knock out) - are simple to knock away.
There is a false conception that the better player has an edge with tighter/shimmed pockets. How can this be?
Who is at the table the most? The better player OR the weaker player?
Shimmed pockets were invented for players to practice on - and that’s great. But for serious play - playing on the table (the way it was designed) is the best way.

Vagabond, are you going to be in Albuquerque in time for the NM open? Supposed to be in the Billiards Palace this year. And there is a few days between it and the WBPA open to play few..course since I'm in the process of getting the eyeballs overhauled I'm going to need some siginificent spot...
May do that. Actually your comment about the bad eye is what caught my attention, just had cataract surgery myself. Now seeing out of the eye I was nearly blind in and am hoping to finally get my game on track.vagabond said:

Not sure yet some one pocket or nineball. Dunno about stakes yet but would probably be worth ur time where u coming from? Probably anywhere from 300-800 a game one pocket. And at least a 1k set in the nine ball maybe more just depends on player and if we can get it matched up good. Who u got in mind and i can tell u more.

JJLING - How about a - Senior Golf/Caddy Match instead?
JJLING - My Son is also a Caddy (here in St. Louis) and I was thinking of him & you as Caddies along with their senior players. $ would be NO PROBLEM - YOU COULD BET WHATEVER YOU WANT - NO LIMITS.
