Trying to get information on this cue I just won at auction. Has CPS on the butt. Looks unused and came in a case that reads challenge of champions 2005 Atlantic city. I know this cue a bit of an enigma but any information would be greatly appreciated.

Not much info on them, looks decently well made, the diamond inlays look like inlays not stickers and precise.

It's worth nowhere near that number in the listing, but as a basic player cue you should be fine. Might need a new tip and ferrule

This case plaque is as interesting as the cue, where did you get it from? The only Challenge of Champions I know of was an invitational with a 50k winner take all prize held in a casino in CT, not in Atlantic City.
Yea i was hoping to find out more about that. Figure it must have been a gift for the winner. I bought it on an auction site, came from Colorado. I have someone on Facebook who says they were actually in attendance at that event. Soom people say this is a handmade custom Adam cue some say it's a Chinese mass produced cue. But I figure if it was a gift for the winner they wouldn't give him a cheap cue.

someone may pay 400 or so but thats tops to expect if you get lucky.
those are just not desirable cues for the most part.
it doesnt matter what someone puts as a retail price on it

Looks great, I doubt it's China made from 2005. The provenance and case makes it more desirable but for sure you need to gather all the correct info you can before considering selling.

"handmade custom" is a WIDE area of cues. I don't think that one was made by a specific individual rather in a normal factory. Does not look like a very cheap one but not a high end one like Mezz.

It's probably in the Falcon range of value, with that case probably $300 or as Maha said $400. A lot of people put Adam as the maker if they are not too sure of where it came from since they were contracted out to make cues for a good number of other brands. That website that has it listed as over 1,000 seems a bit suspect, it's the ONLY one out there with that cue, and the site itself seems like they have random prices on cues like those stereo systems homeless looking people sell out of a van that you get told are worth $2,000 but you can have it for $500 and the real value is more like $100 or less.

its chinese. adam had shifted production of everything but the hi-end musashi line to china well before '05. its worth 200 tops, probably less. its not what you'd call collectible. good basic player.
