I have been seeing a couple of decent looking vintage cues that have the name "William" on the butt. From what little i was able to find they are a series of, or made by Adam cues. And they seem to come out of Japan.
I am wondering if anyone has any more information on them? And what is the quality of them? I can find very little information on them.
Thanks

this has come up before. iirc the consensus is that it is not a ADAM cue but some sort of chin/taiw copy. don't waste your money. btw, i just looked at a couple on ebay and that is what i'm referring to. that's no ADAM cue.

I think same factory as Lucasi, at least that's what they look like. So, maybe not a bad cue, but not Adam.
What's kinda ironic is that the bulk of ADAM cues are made at the same plant as Lucasi, Predator and a bunch of other brands. Not real sure a co. wanting to sell ADAM ko's would choose same factory but in China there are no rules.

The lines get blurry about what is an Adam and what is not.

With so many different brand names we're seeing on these cues on eBay out of Asia that we don't otherwise see in the US, it gets darn confusing.

I have seen numerous cues that are definitely Kao cues that sellers in Japan say are Adam.

It seems when they don't know, they just call it an Adam, probably for name recognition.

I've talked to the US ADAM rep in NYC and they said that ADAM cues consist of Musashi and Kenbu lines from Japan and everything else like the Mugens from the Universal plant in China. He also said that trying to stop others from sticking 'ADAM' on cues is a waste of time as copying/faking shit is like a national past-time in China.
