Adaptive Pool Eqiupment

Hey gang, I just made something and had to share it with the pool world.
A buddy of mine that plays on our team recently suffered some nerve damage, as luck would have it the damage is to his off arm and he should make a full recovery in several months but it has left him unable to make a workable bridge, he has very little control of of the bridge hand and almost no control of the fingers on that hand. About all he can do is make a fist. So we played pool on Thursday and as he played he became more and more frustrated. When we were done for the night we talked about several different solutions and what he decided would be most comfortable would be something adaptive for his bridge hand, something that maybe would attach to the back of his hand or something he would be able to hold in a clinched fist. So we, actually he, came up with an idea. Now what I've made is a little rough and for me it did take some adjustment. I just shot several racks with it and after I got the hang of it it went pretty well, the advantage I can see immediately is a very steady bridge. I'd like to know what you think. Thanks.

I feel like if you cut up something like a scrabble base, to put under the white part, and maybe on the other side of his hand, it would add more stability, maybe even add a bit of rubber padding for grip, so he could lay it down on the rail, and just have to press down with his hand.
