Adding Inlays to Finished Cue

I have a cue that plays great but is a little too plain for my taste. It does not have any inlays. I would like to have some MOP diamonds and dots inlayed into the butt and four points.

Can anyone give me a recommendation on who does this type of work with a reasonable turnaround time? I would like to email them with the specifics and get a quote.

Also, can a cue be refinished without changing out the wrap?

Thanks for your help,
Jonathan in Dallas

I think no one is answering your post, because it sounds like you want to do this job without spending the money required, to do the job right. In other words you want to go cheap. The cuemakers reputation goes with every job. If he has to do the job cheap & it turns out badly, he suffers. You can mask off the wrap & sand & spray, but the way to do it right is to remove the wrap. Plus adding inlays after a Q is finished is always a crap shoot. The Qmaker has no idea what he will find, under the finish that he will have to remove. Plus all of the old finish should probably be removed, to insure the new finish will adhear. To do that you have to remove the wrap...JER

Tap, Tap
There are a lot of finishes being used out there, How about the cue maker who built the cue?
