After searching and reading previous threads on the forum I cannot find an answer to this set of questions. Help would be appreciated.
I have a Gold Crown III and want to reduce the pockets myself. There is nothing wrong with the rails and I want to reduce the pocket openings from the factory shipped five inches with hard rubber pocket facings I recently purchased. Apparently adding these new facings will take the pockets down to the current WPA specifications.
Can I use contact cement to extend the rails with the pocket facings or is some other form of adhesive recommended?
Are a couple of 1/2" staples needed in each new facing to insure the new facing stays tight?
The table is more than 20 years old. I bought it new and it is not worth the time or effort to have the rails re-done by a professional.
