What do cuemakers do if they are making a custom cue, and they suspect it will end up hitting softer than what the customer wants?
Do you change to harder type ferrules and tips? If a 1/2" phenolic ferrule
that is used on Break cues is suppose to help with a stiff hit, are they ever
used on a regular cue to help support a stiff hitting cue?
Or do you have other things you can do to 'stiffen' up the hit with the cue being made?
