advice on new predator

i'm going to buy a predator and was looking for some advice please. is there any difference with the WK1 .WK2 etc when playing or is it purely aesthetic?
i was also wondering if its ok to taper the ferrule on a 314, and would that make it play more like a Z shaft which i've been told deflects less?

Learn what you can, while you can. Find your center and go from thier.

I know it's not much, but it may hit home someday.

Points might have some effect on hit, other decorations none.

If you consider sanding down the shaft to change to the taper, I hope you know that sanding down the Pred might destroy it as the ferrule walls are already this and soft and the wood layer between the carbonfiber rod will get thinner. I believe there is a certain limit you can sand the shaft down to make the warranty go void. I might be talking out of my a$$ here, but if you sand the 12,75mm shaft to 12,25mm, the warranty is broken.
