OK, probably good advice  I was just trying to find my way. It's an awesome cue, I wan't the best for it !
Care to guess the year/model ?
If you really want what is best for the cue then do what Mike Webb said, Send it to joss and have it done. I think having it repaired by the original maker will help keep the value of the cue also if you ever plan to sell it.
It would also be a good chance to have any thing else done at the same time, Always best to have work done by the original maker as far as keeping the value of the cue up. If you cant do that then Mike Webb would be who I would have fix it,

I would like to ask a favor. Would you mind posting about your experience with Joss after you get your cue back?
thanks.

Best thing is to send it to Joss. The model is N7, if there's no trademark on the buttcap then is out of the 1985 series probably. If the Joss name apppears on the buttcap then is the 1994 0r 1995 series. I think later on they re-made the cue without the spears in-between the points and also called it Model N7. It gets confusing

Don't repair it.
It will serve as a good reminder that you shouldn't slam your cue into the floor when you miss.
dld
I would guess the cue to be from that era, but soon after 1985. The '85 cues had the date on the butt collar.
Rod had one for sale recentlly.

Enclosed is a picture of mine, which is also perfectly straight (butt and both shafts).
You'll be happy you sent this to the Janes gang for the refresh.
What a beautiful Joss cue you have got!
Please don't forget to post pics after the repair.
