Advice Request - Benefit Tournament - Cancer Treatment Funding

Hello AZB, one of my best friends has found out his wife has an aggressive form of Mouth Cancer. They have been dealing with this for about a year, they had a Go-Fund me done & between treatment costs etc, that's gone. There was some improvements, but the last scans they did were not positive, and they are being told the ONLY treatment options at this point are very expensive. My goal is to put on a benefit tournament for them. (They are wonderful people, and would do anything for those around them). He's been a great friend and we have played together for several years, in all kinds of leagues etc.

I've reached out to many of the local League operators & folks involved in our scene. Our Biggest venue is FOE in Murray UT & we are planning to set something up there June 27th. This will be my first event of this nature, and I'm trying to grow this as big as possible for them. Any recommendations/advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you AZB in advance!

My suggestion is to go after some sponsors and a bunch and do whatever it takes to get them to donate to the cause , offer a receipt for their taxes .
Talk to one of the local beer distributors or a large company who puts out there own flyers and see if they'll print off posters for free or if nothing else a reduced rate .
Contact local TV and Radio stations talk to their programming director about PSA spots the same goes for news papers , same thing with Facebook , which is something I'm not a member of but that's ok too .

Try to get a big name pro player to come in and do a exhibition of trick shots or challenge games for so much per game ?

I survived P-16 HPV in my case it was in my tonsils and I've been Cancer Free since 12 - 26 - 2017 !
My advice is keep a sense of humor and keep eating even if you don't want to as a feeding tube is awful trust me , getting it removed
caused me to have to get another surgery and cost me a even longer recovery time .
Some good skin cream is also a must have radiation treatments can be a bit worse than chemo .
