Advice - selling a mildly warped shaft on eBay

I cant tell you what a fair price is, but I can tell you when I bought a used one I payed 100 for it and it was straight.

I would be very clear when describing it (which you already said you were going to) and start the auction at 1.00. If you want to add a buy it now for 100 and that is acceptable to you then I would do that as well. To me that would tell people that your reserve (if you have one) is probably reasonable.

I'd like to sell my mildly warped Predator 314 shaft on eBay and was wondering what a fair "buy-it-now" price would be?. Do you think I would do better to start a no reserve auction at $1.00?.

I plan on being completely forthcoming regarding the shafts condition.

I'll market it as a "Great back-up shaft" to the prepared types....... "A thrifty alternative" to the low-budget types and a "Great deal" to the "I don't care how warped it is" types.

The shaft rolls flat but has a bobble around where the taper begins. The black ring and the ferrule never leave the slate when it is rolled. It has a 5/16x14 piloted joint and was fitted to a Joss butt, though it would probably fit any other similarly sized cue (Joss, Falcon, Schon etc.)

Any ideas on what I could expect to get for it?.

If you're interested, PM me and we can talk price.

To the "Anti-Predator" crowd, please refrain from using this thread as yet another outlet to vent your hatred of their products. Thank-you very much

Do a $100 starting price no reserve, 7 day, and just let the auction run. Don't sell the shaft for less. List it under Billiards/cues and title it "Predator 314 shaft for Joss Cue". (This picks up all the search names).

Measure the shaft collar near the joint with electronic calipers and publish the size in mm. Predators for Joss are not too common. I predict $100 plus shipping.
