I am getting ready to order some materials from Atlas and would like some inputs/opinions from your experienced about using Aegis, Juma or Elforyn in placed of Ivory at the joint and butt cap. Would Juma or Elforyn be the closet one to ivory in term of hits/looks? Aegis would have a softer/harder hit than other two? Anything I need to look out for when using any of those materials?

Please feel free to use pm or email at minht52231@yahoo.com if needed.

Thanks for your time and appreciate all your helps.

Frank.

Elforyn looks the most like Ivory. Both Juma and Elforyn hit softer than Ivory and Aegis hits harder than both of those. Neither hits like Ivory, but Aegis would be closer than the other two.

Hi,

I used elferon on a 5 point cnc floating point cue for a customer who requested Ivory Joint and ferrules but wanted elferon on the inlays.

It is very nice stuff but it clogged up my rotary sanding drum when I was sanding the stock to remove the parts. A hidden cost of using it.

It looked real nice in the cue as a material.

Thanks Chris and Rick for the inputs:thumbup:

Any thought on Micarta joint? Got an offer for a couple to use at the joint and again do not have any experiences with it:o

Thanks.

Frank.
