For those of you who are intersted in seeing the best at play, the 3 cushion sponsor Agipi is now organizing a master series in collaboration with kozoom that will be broadcast live on the web. And this time they also made an english version of their website.:)
You can get all the informations at http://www.agipibillardmasters.com/ . Tomorrow and friday you should have some great matches.
A note to Hernan, if you're in Strasbourg you can go watch the matches live. They have a very nice setup for spectators.:D

I couldn't wake up early enough to catch the very beginning, but I saw most of the Sayginer-DeBacker match this morning. DeBacker had an early lead averaging over 2.0 when Sayginer broke through and set off a nice run with this amazing shot (There is no instant replay, but I'm pretty sure this is close to the ball positions):

Click here for the CueTable diagram... (see 2nd page for solution)

Nobody could believe this shot and the crowd went nuts!

Next round starts at 5:30 Schiltigheim time (which is 6 hours ahead of EST, I believe).

Yeah.. I know.. I was watching at work.. (I have a computer job). I had my headphones on even though the commentary is in french. I actually had to get some work done so I minimized the player.. so I was just listening when I heard the crown go nuts. I MISSED IT :(
I saw your diagram. what did he shoot? I suck... but I would of shot the jacked up 5 railer. I can think of a few more shots...but they look too hard for me. :(

Semih and Blomdal are playing next.. they are warming up right now.

Blomdahl just beat Sayginer 50-24 in 20 innings. Blomdahl had a 10 and an 8 (I think). Right now there are four players averaging 2 or better: Forthomme 2.000, Caudron 2.308, Jaspers 2.419, and Blomdahl 2.632.

Edit: Add DeBacker to the list. He just beat Duval 50-17 in 15 innings with a high run of 14. He is now averaging 2.703.

The 5-railer was the 'normal' shot, if there was such a thing in that position. To see Sayginer's solution, see the 2nd page of the cuetable diagram. In the lower right corner are some arrows next to (1/2). Click the right one to see (2/2) for the shot. We'll still want to see the replay tomorrow at the video magazine link.

Sayginer just won and Blomdahl had a tie with DeBacker

I just watched the match between Blomdahl and DeBacker. I wanted Blomdahl to win but Debacker had an amazing match, he was able to overcome a 20-0 score. And Sayginer won against Duval.

I don't know why but right now it's in the french version of the site, in the video magazin under "somptueux" I guess you can understand why they called it "somptuous". Roland Forthomme and J. Bury both said they had never seen this shot before.

I missed seeing Jaspers play in group D, but the results page says he ran a 20 in his game with Forthomme and a 22 against Bury!! Amazingly, Roland Forthomme had an 11 and tied Jaspers in that match with a 2.273 average. How strong is that! High runs are a nice potential of the longer matches, although I like the added pressure of the set format. Hopefully, they'll be releasing some videos of these matches on Kozoom.com eventually.

Actually Kozoom is working on a new website (french, english and spanish) and for a small monthly fee you'll be able to watch everything they filmed (3 cushion, free games, 9 ball, eurotour, etc.) and also you will have shots with commentaries by Caudron and top players so this should be quite awesome. It should be up in the year to come.

Wow, that's great news! It's tough to get billiards footage from the rest of the world in the US, and Kozoom is really starting to acquire a nice library of videos. Please keep us posted as you hear more about it.

Tomorrow is the last qualification for the Agipi Master. Sanchez, Zanetti, Horn and Roux will be playing. Of course live on Kozoom at http://www.agipibillardmasters.com/

Thanks for the reminder!

Btw, I finally got to play a bit with one of your cues. Miguel Torres let me try his for a while. What a nice playing cue! No wonder he just won the US Nationals :)

He's playing with my cue? Gee, I didn't even know myself. Thanks for sharing the good news.
