Does anyone out there know of an aiming system referred to as aim and pivot? I'd like to learn it and if anyone knows of a website or Book/video on the subject please post it.If no such books or videos are available, could you please explain it in a clear concise, easy to understand way as I'm really curious about it. Thanks , RJ

Otherwise known as back-hand english. Try searching for that. There has been lots and lots of discussion on this technique in various forums. Some are believers, and some remain to be convinced. All learning is good.

cheers,

Thanks Jeremy, I already knew about backhand english after reading about it at this url: http://www.greatpool.com/technique.htm a few weeks back.

I kind of thought that backhand english and aim and pivot english might be one in the same however I wasn't 100% sure. The way someone else on another form explained(not very clearly) it led me to believe that they might be two different things. Are you 100% sure they are the same? Anyways thanks for posting as I'm eager to learn all I can as to become a better player.RJ

Hi Jeremy, I did some investigating on other forums and Back hand english and Aim and Pivot english are two entirely different systems.Back hand english takes the guessing out of aiming when applying sidings. Aim and pivot apparently is an aiming method that I've got some info about ,however I'm still learning it so I won't comment on it for now.

DAMN this is an interesting sport......When will the learning stop????.......I suspect NEVER!!!

Hi Tom. Yeah, in that article Bob J says, "Backhand english is also referred to as the "aim-and-pivot" method." Bob seems to be a credible source.
