Aim trainers: Ghostball, Spider, Bat, etc.

Anyone have opinions on these? I'm thinking about getting something for my girlfriend who is starting to play a bit... even without me. See says she plays better when I'm there to point out where the ghostball should be. (That's the simplest method for me to show her) I though of getting her something when I'm not there.

Does anyone have an opinion on any of these items? I'm thinking that all one really needs is the ghostball. The other 2 seem too fancy and pricey. Ghostball seems like a nice stocking stuffer, but does anyone think the spider or BAT would work better? Are there others out there that work well?
 
Get her a "Stroke Trainer". Only cost around $12 and worth every penny. I've never tried the others that you mentioned, but I am familiar with them.
 
she doesn't actually like to practice, just play. I don't think she cares too much about her stroke at this point. She isn't even using spin yet either. She's looking for something to help her realize where to hit the object ball. I'll get her something for her stroke soon, but I don't want to make pool a chore for her.

I personally love to drill and practice for an hour or two before I play. I'll probably get a stroke trainer for myself. ;)
 
All the aim trainers are pretty useless for anything other than practice. If she just likes to play, you might be better off finding someone who can teach her to aim without any training aids.

Call Scott Lee and have him spend a couple of hours with her.

I was going to say that a "gift certificate" to an instructor would be a great stocking stuffer. Not sure where you are, but I know Scott Lee travels around, and would probably be willing to come through close by.

Aim is useless if you can't hit what your aiming at.
 
I try to tell her that, but the opposite is true as well. It doesn't matter how straight your stroke is if you don't know where to aim.
