After setting up any shot, raise the cue tip slightly over the cue ball.
If you're inconsistent it may be the cue isn't always on the shot line.

On some days the game is easy, and some days it can be frustrating.
On the days you're having a problem pocketing, try raising the tip just
enough to check where the cue is pointed.

If bridge lengths become longer, and your cue is not aligned to the shot,
the tip possibly won't contact the CB where you think. A check of the tip
raised over the CB helps in cue alignment.

Aiming is more than the alignment of the cue... but alignment is the foundation for having a good stroke.
