When I jump, I will use no English, only center ball, follow, or draw. I sight the object ball and find the needed contact point on that ball. The I line up the shot as normal, jack up, and once I know that if I stroke I will hop the impeding ball, I take my eyes off of the cueball, and concentrate on the contact point, and fire away. You have to be confident that once you are jacked up and set, that your stroke through the cueball will not change. Kind of like aiming a ball and practice stroking, then closing your eyes, practice stroking 2-3 more times, and hitting the shot, making the ball. If you don't have the muscle memory built up, it will be hard to get consistency in your shot.
