XenForo according to Google AI has built in capabilities to enable push notifications.
1. Built-in XenForo features
- Alerts: XenForo provides an alert system that notifies users of activities relevant to them, such as new replies to threads they are watching, reactions to their posts, and more.
- Push Notifications: Users can enable push notifications to receive alerts directly on their devices, even when not actively on the forum, according to XenForo.
- Notices: These are global messages broadcast to all users across forum pages. Notices can be customized with HTML, styling, and conditional display rules based on user criteria (e.g., guest users, users from specific sources).
- Email Notifications: Alerts can be echoed to email, providing another notification channel for users.
I would imagine that has to be enabled by admins and they may not want to do that for privacy stalking concerns...
