There is an Alex Brick cue on e-bay right now.

I'll post the link and hope it doesn't tick anyone off.

Alex Brick

It looks like a nice cue but I haven't heard of this cue maker. Can someone fill me in on this maker.

Know the seller

I know the seller and he is a good guy. He does play with a lot of different sticks. I have not done any deals with him, but I have known him for a good while.

I met Alex Brick a few times. He is a good player. He lived in Memphis and made cues here. I think he is in Nash now. His cues are nice- he does silver track ringwork on a lot of them. They can be very stiff hitting. I remember his players cues being really popular in my area.

Allow me to enlighten you since you apparently don't have access to The Blue Book: Alex is a PREMIERE CM, working out of Nashville, TN. He makes fewer than 10 cues a year and they are HIGHLY sought after. He doesn't make any "speculation cues" anymore, and won't even take your Order if he doesn't know you OR if it doesn't sound like something he would enjoy making.
(I believe he made 4 cues last year!)

He is a TRUE MASTER, and creates all components himself. The hit of his cues is almost legendary and has been compared to every other Master CM.

His cues are, IMHO, one of the very few that are currently almost guaranteed to increase in value. For value appreciation, I put him in a very elite group which includes P Weston, D Searing, SW (JF), N Morris, A Gilbert and a few others.

(Don't rag me on this guys - I'm not comparing quality or present demand, just the likelihood of the cue appreciating in value).

Hope this helps! And YES! I will be bidding on it. Almost used Buy-It-Now last night when I saw it.

I've had several of Alex's cues and they have always exceeded my expectations. The hit can best be described as "stiff" and "accurate" providing the shaft taper is standard. Similar to a SW with standard taper shafts or KB cues of the eighties. The butt of AB cues also have a compound taper like SW,KB,TAD,GINA cues, etc. As a result they are a little thinner in the back of the grip as compared to straight taper butts like JW,SCHONE,SCRUGGS,BS,GS,etc. He can only make a handful of cues per year because of his workload as the cue guru at JOB in NASHVILLE,TN. Alex has played pool for over forty years and is one of a select group of cuemakers that can actually play well enough to evaluate a cues playability. Although he is opinionated with regards to cue specs (assembly methods, tapers, balance, etc.) he is a true custom cue maker and will acquiesce to the customer. Alex is a cue maker and not a computer programmer---no CNC!

Thanks for the information. Would like to try one of his cues some day.

Aaron puts his name and cell number on 99% of his listing. Not sure why this particular listing doesn't have it but his other cues on eBay now has his name and number.

Well, this guy had several cues (4) on e-bay, one was a nice Kornele I was going to bid on and he has removed all of them.

At least I think he removed them, but I thought when a seller stopped an auction, the page stayed up. If e-bay removed all of them, I wonder what was up.

Fleebay Issues

 HI' THIS IS AARON, (CUEBEAST) ALONG TIME AGO BACK AROUND YEAR 2000 I OWNED A CAR DEALERSHIP. WELL WE STARTED SELLING CARS ON E-BAY AND WAS HAVING GREAT SUCCESS. WELL SOME OF MY SALES GUYS THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA TO BID ON OUR OWN AUCTIONS. THEY KICKED US OFF E-BAY AND EVER SINCE I HAVE BEEN BLACK LISTED. SO I GET ABOUT A MONTH OUT OF AN ACCOUNT UNTIL THOSE COCK SUCKERS KICK ME OFF. I DO NOT BID ON MY OWN SHIT AND HAVE NOT DONE IT SINCE. MOST PEOPLE KNOW I USUALLY SELL THE ITEM TO SOMEBODY FIRST. ANYWAY I'M FIXING THIS PROBLEM WITH E-BAY AND BUILDING A WEBSITE AND I WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW WHAT IT IS WHEN IT IS DONE. ALSO IF ANYBODY WOULD LIKE THE CUES I HAVE JUST PM ME AND WE WILL MAKE A DEAL. THANX SO MUCH AND SORRY FOR THE HASSLE. AARON 815-243-1101
