Alexander's and Six Shooters in Phoenix

Well, it appears that things might be turning around a little bit in the Phoenix Area. I just found out that Alexander's is going to try and stay open for a little longer. Long story short, they are working things out with the Landlord and we'll just hope this legendary bar can remain open.

Also, Six Shooters on Peoria is going to open on Wednesday. Yes in 2 days time. They were going to open today, but had some carpet issues that will be resolved tomorrow.

Finally some good news.
 
Well I guess there was truth to my comments last Friday. Hopefully six Shooter will have those saturday tournaments again.

Six Shooters will be opening under NEW Management, so hopefully the duct tape issues go out with the Old Management. But I highly doubt the landlord put any money into the roof, so you still might see buckets around during big rain storms.

Six Shooters is where I learned to play, and is my home room, so I've missed it and would be happy to go back to playing there. So many things sucked about it so hopefully this time around it'll get straightened out and be a good place to play.
 
Hooray for SixShooters... errr Bullshooters from what I heard it will be called.

It would be unwise to expect everything to miraculously be corrected by Wednesday. This is especially true due to changing to new ownership, and having the albatross of that big monthly rent. Unless they have deep pockets and are willing to risk it with no guarantee of payoff, then it will take revenue in order to provide the upgrades.

The main issue is where do their commitments lie. Will they be interested in providing upgraded services to attract pool players. Some upgrades may be done soon. Others will likely have to occur over time after they receive support from pool players and thus generate the necessary revenues to make it worthwhile. That will likely be the delicate balancing act, called "business". I wouldn't expect it to be easy... But it will be nice if they at least show that they are putting effort into it.

Early indications are that they do have the commitment.
